As you probably know, I like testing some writing services. This time, I decided to pay attention to Customwritings.com. As it is mentioned on the site, the service is quite popular among students. The platform has a high grade (it’s also depicted on the web-page), cool feedback and a lot of qualified writers. You’d think “what a great place to order papers!” Yeh, I thought the same when I got there. But, sometimes, promises remain just well-sounded words. Read in my review what the promises of this site turned out to be. 

General information about the service

What about the price?

I liked that I could calculate the price easily before placing an order. But I didn’t like the rates a bit. The cost of one page is evaluated from the deadline and academic level: High school, Undergraduate, Graduate and PhD. The higher degree you have, the higher price for your papers this service will ask. Besides, if you need your documents to be done less than in two weeks, be dear to pay more. 

In comparison to other similar platforms, the prices here are higher. And I didn’t find any discounts on the website, unfortunately.

Types of services on Customwritings.com 

It’s much of an essay writing service. Essays of any type and length. Yeh, I was pleasantly surprised by the number of services the site offers. You can order papers from 3 categories: academic writing, admission writing and additional services (such as letter, Q&A, business plan, etc). Plus, there is not a small range of disciplines they provide help with. 

As always, the company assures us they have professionals in each subject. But is it true? Well, from the first sight, it seemed to me like all the writers are too ideal. They have their own profiles and, truly, I didn’t find more than a couple of negative Customwritings.com reviews from the customers. All the authors have some photos and the description of their experience, and I really believed my papers will be made by the professionals in their fields. So, as you can see, my first impression of the team was completely positive and I was willing to ask for some assistance with my documents. 

Customer support

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to chat with the support team beforehand. I wanted to ask a couple of questions before ordering, but I could create a live chat only after entering my order number. Nevertheless, I liked that there are three ways of chatting: via telephone, live chat and Facebook messenger. You can choose the one convenient for you.

And, as I understood from the Custom Writing service reviews and the information from the website, a support team works 24/7. That’s cool for those who have different time zones. 

Ordering process and discount

And now it’s time to talk about my own experience using Custom Writings. Reviews were positive in general, so I thought everything’s going to be ok. The ordering process is standard: you fill in the form, make a payment and wait for your papers to be done. I placed an order on “Eating traditions in Iceland” with the 2-days deadline and was required to pay $48 for two pages. Well, that’s pretty high for a simple assignment. Still, could have been worse. If the quality is fine, it’d be worth it. Let’s see.

The thing is that you can’t choose the writer. Thus, you don’t know for sure whether it’ll be a native speaker or not. Of course, you can mention it in your requirements, but it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get help from such a writer.

Before I placed my order, I was promoted with the discount on my first essay:

Definitely, that was a great extra, and I could save a little. But it was spread only on the orders starting from 3 pages. So, I enlarged my assignment to the necessary minimum and paid the same rate. Just wanted to make sure the coupon is valid. Spoiler: it is. 

Academic Quality?

I received my order in time. Even a couple of hours before the deadline. I noticed no grammar and spelling mistakes (would be funny if there were some). But, while reading, I also noticed some familiar moments in the text. Yes, it was plagiarism, checked by the other Turnitin. Only about 15%, but still. As of the text itself, my papers were a bit superficial. No analysis, just examples and some facts. I think I would never ask this service to write something more than a simple essay or assignment. For this price, I’d rather go to a similar writing service and was calm about the results. 

What do others say 

The feedback from the customers is different. I’d rather say 50/50. Plus, it’s not really a widespread service, because I didn’t find reviews on some popular sites like Yelp and similar. Generally, people write about mediocre quality, but there are also some comments like that:

Is Customwritings legit? Yes and no at the same time. If you need simple papers which don’t require deep analysis, this service is appropriate. But do you want to overpay? I don’t think so. I’d use this service only once, with this coupon for new customers. Hence, my review of Customwritings.com, with all of the above, is not as positive as this service seemed to be at the beginning. I don’t recommend it for some profound documents, because there is a great chance to be caught in plagiarism or shallowness. As for something simple, I guess it can still work.
